Description

The Marketing Events Consultant plays a key role in supporting Purolator’s event program and sponsorship activations. Working closely with event leads and cross-functional stakeholders, this role focuses on working closely alongside the Events team in coordinating logistics, preparing materials, and ensuring successful execution of lead generation activities (conferences, trade shows), employee-facing events (Town Halls, incentive experiences, functional team Summits), and partnership activations across our sponsorship portfolio. The ideal candidate brings proven event experience, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction while aligning events to broader business objectives.

Responsibilities
-Event Program Support
-Assist event leads in managing the annual event calendar, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and milestones are tracked and communicated.
-Conduct research on industry events, vendors, and partnership opportunities, providing strategic recommendations.
-Independent Event Preparation
-Manage end-to-end logistics including vendor bookings, shipping, collateral requests, budget tracking, and internal resourcing.
-Develop event kits, briefing documents, and schedules to ensure stakeholders are prepared and aligned.
-Promotions & Communications
-Collaborate with internal teams to independently coordinate event promotions (email, social, website updates).
-Liaise directly with external partners to fulfill promotional commitments and deliverables.
-On-Site/Event-Day Leadership
-Take ownership of day-of responsibilities including booth setup/coverage, demos, presentation prep, and attendee engagement.
-Lead onsite troubleshooting, adapting quickly to solve problems under pressure.
-Support sponsorship activations, ensuring flawless execution and brand alignment.
-Content & Collateral
-Oversee requests for event and sponsorship assets such as signage, presentations, and promotional materials.
-Partner with content and design teams to ensure materials are on brand and tailored to audiences.
-Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
-Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
-Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact, balancing competing priorities and aligning stakeholders to shared goals.
-Measurement & Continuous Improvement
-Track and report event outcomes against KPIs (attendance, leads, engagement, brand impact).
-Provide insights and recommendations to improve future events and maximize ROI.
-Bring forward creative ideas and innovations to enhance event experiences.

Education
-Bachelors degree 

Experience
-5+ years of experience in marketing, events, or sponsorship activations
-Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects
-Proven organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail
-Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to engage executives, customers, and partners effectively
-Strong budget and resource management experience with an ROI-driven approach
-Ability to remain calm under pressure and proactively solve problems in fast-paced environments
-Creative thinker who brings innovation and fresh ideas to elevate event experiences
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management or marketing platforms is an asset
-A collaborative team player with initiative, adaptability, and a customer-first mindset
