Electronics Repair Engineer

Salary: A£28,000 - A£34,000 per annum (DOE)

The Role

They are looking for a talented Electronics Repair Engineer to join their growing laboratory instrument service and support team. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role, working on a wide range of laboratory instruments.

You will be responsible for refurbishing, testing, calibrating, repairing and maintaining laboratory equipment to a high standard. The role requires strong technical ability combined with problem-solving skills, working within a team that values expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

* Refurbish, configure and test laboratory instruments
* Diagnose faults and carry out component or sub-assembly level repairs
* Calibrate instruments to exacting standards
* Work from technical drawings, manuals and SOPs
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace
* Prepare instruments for online sales

Skills and Qualifications

* Strong knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies
* Skilled in using calibration and diagnostic equipment
* Confident in reading and interpreting circuit diagrams and technical drawings
* Logical and methodical problem-solving skills
* Good IT skills and accurate record keeping
* Strong communication and teamwork
* ONC/HNC, NVQ or equivalent in Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics or a related field
* Experience in equipment servicing, repair or calibration of laboratory or medical equipment (Desirable)
* Candidates with transferable technical skills from related fields are encouraged
