A welcoming Primary School in Kennington, SW London, is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their ASD Provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Autism and making a real impact on their educational journey.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, supporting learning, communication, and social development. The school is well-resourced, with a strong SEN team and excellent leadership, ensuring you have the tools and guidance to thrive.
The role:
Supporting pupils in the ASD provision, aged between 5-11

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
*
Implementing strategies to aid communication and learning (e.g. PECS, visual timetables, Makaton)
*
Helping children build confidence, independence, and life skills
Teaching Assistant - Requirements:
Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism experience preferred)

Patience, empathy, and resilience
*
Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
This teaching assistant role starts immediately and is long-term with the potential to go permanent.
Location: Kennington, SW London
Teaching Assistant Start date: Immediate / September 2025
Pay: GBP95-GBP105 per day (depending on experience)
