Summary

The Principal Data Analyst is responsible for evaluating, analyzing, designing, and implementing information and data governance solutions, and information modeling for internal SRP business stakeholders. This role is also responsible for maintenance and configuration of information governance systems and SRP's common information model.  Understanding the aspects of enterprise information architecture and experience implementing those concepts.

What You'll Do
-Responsible for the maintenance and configuration of Data Management technical infrastructure (Collibra Information Platform, Collibra Data Quality, Erwin and Enterprise Architect)
-Collaborate with integration department on system integrations and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
-Collaborate with Analytics Center of Excellence on Enterprise initiatives including data science platform Dataiku and Snowflake repository.
-Lead projects/initiatives to support product roadmaps for Enterprise applications support, collaborations on major initiatives, and information management projects that Data Services would collaborate on.
-Information and data governance consultation with SRP Information System projects and project teams.
-Development of workflows, integrations, and other capabilities to support the Enterprise Data management tools to offer/meet/exceed business expectations.
-Support data governance communication to data governance organizations within the company
-Strict adherence to SRP information principles, policies, and information privacy practices
-Support Data Services related to Data Quality, Data Cataloging, Data Modeling and other services around assessments and data usage and sharing.
-Ability to converse with Data Architect(s) within the organization and provide data architecture support of Collibra metamodel.  Also be able to implement with other data repositories and utilize/configure connectors to best integrate with data tools and other applications/systems within the enterprise.  Understanding data architecture aspects and being able to enable those concepts.
-Develop written materials supporting data services.
-Provide guidance and coaching to team members.
-Participate in the Data Stewardship Program supporting individual data stewards.

What It Takes To Succeed

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

-Possess strong organizational, project management and leadership skills.
-Deep understanding and practice in Data Governance activities- data cataloging, data quality and data modeling to support and elevate the data services offered to the Enterprise.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Strong service orientation, and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with users, peers, office and firm management, and outside business partners.
-Ability to communicate with executives and staff in an effective, non-technical manner with patience, tact and diplomacy.
-Demonstrated technical knowledge and expertise in the enterprise administration of the systems such as:

-Collibra Data Catalog (Data Governance tool)
-Collibra Data Quality tool
-Erwin Data Modeling tool
-Enterprise Architect/Sparx Data Modeler

-Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner.
-Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, facilitate solutions, and meet deadlines and milestones for projects/cases assigned.
-Demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and strict confidentiality of data, projects, strategy.
-Proven ability to maintain and update technical knowledge and skills.

Experience

A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required (if no degree, 14 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 14 years). 

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Data Governance preferred.

Education

A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
