ROLE- Senior Design Engineer
LOCATION- Berkshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £50,000 - £60,000, dependent on experience
My client provides Engineering Solutions in the Construction industry. They are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Berkshire on a permanent basis.
The Senior Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- 2-5 years’ or more of experience in a similar Design / CAD Operation position
- Experience with factory fit out design – lighting, plumbing, electrical and HVAC layouts
- Experienced using 2D and 3D CAD software – ideally Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong background in M&E
- Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Design, Engineering or similar
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient using MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
- Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
The Senior Design Engineer role will involve:
- Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
- Producing drawings to bespoke requirements
- Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements
- Being involved in final layout designs
- Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
- Updating 3D models and drawings
- Checking drawings for sign off
- Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
