Connexus Energy is seeking a Database Administrator to be a vital part of our team, ensuring the reliability and performance of our core database systems. This position partners with internal business subject matter experts and the IT team to manage data loads, reporting, and business intelligence tools to ensure the optimal use of our data. We are searching for a proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
Location:
Work for this position can be performed both on-site at our campus located at 14601 Ramsey Blvd, Ramsey, MN 55303, and from your local home office, as duties require. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements, hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota.
Compensation:
Anticipated hiring pay is $98,600.00 - $129,465.00 annually. The final compensation offered is based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience and skill level. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 8% based on company performance.
In this position, you will:
Maintain and ensure availability, performance, and security of SQL and other databases. Provide advanced technical support to business process owners and other employees on database, application, and web server issues ensuring maximum efficiency with minimal downtime in accordance with customer needs and requests. Architect, install, maintain and troubleshoot power platform toolset, data warehouse, enterprise reporting, business intelligence environments and related equipment to result in maximized productivity and stability of environment Make recommendations to maintain currency about database, communication, application, and web server technologies.
Need to have:
Associate's degree in computer science or related field and four years of related experience
OR
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and three years of related experience
Nice to have:
Experience in: Windows Server and IT support experience SQL, SQL Server Management Studio Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform Current Windows and virtualization platforms, including: Windows 2019 and 2022 Server Managing complex road and bridge construction projects, including negotiating and managing contract and agreements with other agencies. Assessing and implementing changes needed to improve workflows and efficiencies internally and/or with other departments or agencies. Supervising and/or managing staff, including a team of engineers and/or engineering technicians. Knowledge of: Data security practices and protections Microsoft Windows and web servers Regulatory compliance, including GDPR, HIPAA, FISMA, Red Flag, and applicable security assessments Windows Application Servers, interfaces, SharePoint and web services Ability to: Diagnose response time and performance problems of Microsoft Windows Servers and make improvements Monitor alert and system logs, discern severity of problem and contact the proper people to resolve the problem Communicate and work effectively with all levels of staff Apply strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills Research, learn, leverage and implement emerging technologies
