What You’ll Do

As our Assistant Plant Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our asphalt operations. You’ll lead with confidence, solve problems with precision, and keep everything running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

-Maintaining safe and efficient production schedules

-Monitoring production, load-out, and sales to ensure quality and consistency

-Supporting plant crews and QC/design technicians with technical and staffing needs

-Adjusting production based on mix designs and material requirements

-Setting, tracking, and reporting performance targets

-Managing the plant budget and financial records

-Keeping accurate inventory, inspection, and compliance documentation

-Conducting site inspections to ensure safety and environmental compliance

-Coordinating equipment maintenance and ensuring vehicle readiness

-Coaching and developing team members through feedback and training

-Responding flexibly to customer order changes and expectations

-Participating in succession planning and crew development

 
What You Bring

We’re looking for a hands-on leader who’s ready to make things happen. Ideal candidates will have:

-A professional, positive attitude and a collaborative mindset

-Reliability and punctuality

-A strong commitment to safety and compliance

-A willingness to support team members and adapt to changing needs

-A high school diploma or GED (preferred)

-At least 5 years of experience in construction, testing, or plant production supervision

-At least 5 years of experience with equipment, vendors, suppliers, and customer relations

-A minimum of 3 years of asphalt plant experience
