Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £36,000 - £41,000 per annum
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering company based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs with a focus on sheet metal and fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor
- Design and develop components and assemblies for sheet metal and fabricated products
- Produce Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation
- Liaise with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to support ongoing projects and new product development
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (essential)
- Strong background in sheet metal design and fabrication
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
