About the role
As a Cellar Door Host at Church Road, you will be at the heart of our guest experience -welcoming visitors, sharing the story of one of New Zealand’s most iconic wineries, and delivering tastings that showcase our award-winning wines.
Whether hosting an intimate tasting or guiding a larger group, you will create memorable moments that leave guests with a lasting connection to Church Road.
In this role, you will:

-Deliver exceptional wine tastings, tours, and hospitality experiences that reflect the prestige of the Church Road brand.
-Share our story with passion and authenticity, deepening guest appreciation for our wines and heritage.
-Contribute to sales by assisting guests with wine selections, purchases, and wine club sign-ups.
-Provide a warm, professional, and seamless service from welcome to farewell.
-Support day-to-day Cellar Door operations including stock handling, cleanliness, and compliance.
-Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, contributing to a culture of excellence.

You are a confident and engaging communicator with a genuine love of wine and hospitality. Whether you are already WSET qualified, working towards it, or simply passionate about learning, you bring a natural ability to connect with people and create experiences that go beyond expectations.
With a polished and professional approach, you thrive in a guest-facing environment and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. You are motivated, proactive, and take pride in delivering the highest standards of service every time.
