Job Summary
The Aggregate Maintenance employee performs a combination of duties involving aggregate plant maintenance. The selected candidate will work out of the Scheerer Plant in Apple Valley and will be required to work a swing shift.

Compensation
$30.00/hour to $36.00/hour based on experience.
Responsibilities
-Complete daily service requirements and handle preventative maintenance issues at plants
-Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays
-Monitor, repair, and change worn parts
-General maintenance and welding for wear prevention of equipment
-May be required to operate loader and other equipment as needed
-General labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping will be required
Education
High School diploma or equivalent.
Requirements/Qualifications
-Ability to work under pressure
-Available to work overtime; extended hours and weekend work as required for timely project completion
-Must be flexible with work location; plants are portable
-Work with minimal supervision
-Ability to work in all weather conditions; majority of work is outside at a mobile crushing facility
-Ability to lift 95 lbs. infrequently, 50 lbs. frequently, and climb stairs/ladders up to 24 feet
-Ability to stand for extended periods of time based on work to be completed
-Ability to use various electric and air-powered hand, welding, and cutting tools as appropriate
Preferred:
-4+ years of experience with open-pit sand and gravel operations
-Working knowledge of aggregate production and associated equipment, and understanding of operations and safety requirements for the equipment
-Experience in welding and fabrication
-Familiar with MSHA regulations; MSHA annual refresher training
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
