Your Purpose
As Procurement Strategy Director (EMEA APAC), you’ll be accountable for the development and execution of all major procurement category strategies and negotiations across the EMEA APAC division. This newly created role blends strategic leadership, category expertise, and insight to shape the future of procurement across a newly formed and evolving team. You will set the long-term vision for all major categories, define engagement rules, and ensure inter-dependencies, risks, and opportunities are clearly laid out.
You will be responsible for articulating a 3-year ambition for category strategy and building actionable 1-, 2-, and 3-year plans. A strong understanding of data access, benchmarking, and analysis is critical, along with the ability to interpret P&L dynamics—both internally and across suppliers—to identify margin opportunities and apply category-based sourcing principles.
This is a key leadership role within the Divisional Procurement Structure, reporting directly to the Divisional Procurement Director and sitting on the divisional leadership team. It is one of only two roles operating at the divisional level, with visibility across the entire division. While you won’t directly own categories, you will ensure strategic consistency and lead the category approval process.
Internally, you’ll build strong relationships across the EMEA APAC division and with North American counterparts to drive global procurement synergy. Externally, you’ll lead negotiations for key commercial contracts exceeding EUR1B, operating at MD/CEO level and establishing top-to-top supplier relationships and governance models.
