Job description

The Inside Sales Representative will Assist in sales efforts and partners with the assigned Regional Sales Manager(s) (RSMs) to develop and nurture new prospects and close profitable new business. The ISR serves existing customers and accounts to increase sales of company products and/or services. Other responsibilities include preparing order packages and quotes, updating CRM records, developing and maintaining positive customer and prospect relations, and leading customer and account service activities.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Identifies and targets potential customers and participates in management of key accounts in partnership with assigned Regional Sales Manager(s). Assists with territory account management and growth, and collaborates with RSM on selling strategy. Provides assistance and interacts with assigned accounts in his/her territory while maintaining accurate and up to date CRM records. Compiles data within assigned territory using company and external sources such as ConstructConnect and other industry resources. Participates in determining pricing, and provides quotations and submittal packets, as needed. Keeps Regional Sales Manager(s) and Sales Management fully and accurately informed concerning work problems, issues, and opportunities. Works closely with Project Management following receipt of purchase orders from assigned territory. Provides customer and account service. Helps improve and develop systems for workflow, processes, quoting, sales, and lead follow-up. Supports progress of territory projects by interacting with the customers to ensure expectations are met. Attends tradeshows, as assigned. Supports RSMs with installation and warranty triage and troubleshooting.
Job Requirements
Prefer a minimum of three (3) years of sales experience selling commercial products and/or services In lieu of current sales experience, a bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing, or a relevant field. Must have experience and/or a combination of education and experience in providing customer service, inside sales, sales support, and/or order entry, including assessing customer needs, achieving customer service expectations and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Prefer a minimum of two (2) years' experience or a combination of experience and education in commercial construction or a related discipline. Bathing industry, accessible, composite, and/or aging industry knowledge a plus. Must be able and willing to develop a strong working knowledge of ADA and other governing regulations. Computer experience required. Microsoft: Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint. NetSuite and HubSpot systems experience a plus. Close attention to detail.
Must Have The Ability To
Work with Regional Sales Manager(s) to assist in development and execution of effective territory business plans. Analyze sales and procedural problems and make recommendations to develop solutions. Communicate, establish, and maintain positive working relationships and deal effectively with management, co-workers, customers, vendors, architects, general contractors, trades people, and designers. Handle complaints skillfully and respectfully to achieve customer-centered resolutions in a timely manner. Independently establish priorities, organize workload and adapt to changes rapidly.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work is performed primarily in an office environment with moderate noise level and is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Position requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks. Constantly requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, up to eight (8) hours and ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Constantly requires clarity of speech and hearing, which permits the employee to communicate effectively. Constantly requires clear vision to read printed materials and computer screen to accomplish work. Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Travel Requirements
Occasional local and national overnight travel to attend industry events, seminars, and professional training.
