Job Overview
The P&G Digital AcceleratorUC is seeking an environmental scientist to help develop novel biodegradation methods for polymers. The successful candidate will help design and execute biodegradation experiments that are tailored to evaluate biodegradability of polymers in different environmental compartments.

Essential Functions
-Conduct research experiments to assess biodegradation for polymers including experimental design, laboratory execution, data analysis, and statistical quality control etc.
-Collaborate with scientists at the University of Cincinnati as well as Procter & Gamble to develop biodegradation capabilities.

Required Education
PhD Degree in environmental science including environmental engineering, environmental chemistry, chemical engineering, analytical chemistry or closely related areas. 

Required Experience
-Solid understanding of chemical Phys/chem properties.
-Strong experimental design and problem-solving skills.
-Engage trainings that is needed for job performance such as safety, data analysis and quality control.

Additional Qualifications Considered
-Strong “wet lab” skills, hands-on laboratory experience on biodegradation studies will be preferred.
-Experience with Environmental analytical chemistry such as measurement tools will be a plus.
-Demonstrated attention to detail is critical.  Must be able to critically evaluate complex data sets and apply new approaches to solve complex environmental testing questions.
-The individual must be a team player with a “Roll up your sleeves” attitude and able to partner with a multi-functional team to define and execute against experimental requirements.
-Excellent adaptability and flexibility, and most importantly excellent learning capabilities with open mindset.
