Job Summary
The Instructional Aide supports classroom teachers by assisting with the implementation of instructional activities and providing individual or small group support to students. The aide helps create a positive and productive learning environment, assisting students with academic tasks, classroom routines, and behavior management under the supervision of the lead teacher.
Job Responsibilities
-Assist teachers with preparing instructional materials and classroom activities.
-Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons and support learning needs.
-Help monitor student behavior and maintain a respectful and safe classroom environment.
-Assist with record-keeping, grading, and organizing student work as directed.
-Support students with special needs or those requiring additional assistance.
-Supervise students during non-instructional times such as lunch, recess, or transitions.
-Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet student academic and social-emotional needs.
-Follow school policies and procedures, including safety and confidentiality protocols.
Job Requirements
-Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings preferred.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Patience, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with diverse learners.
-Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
